Above is a pic of my boyfriend and I taken at his Uncle's 50th birthday

Gee...where to start. Well, we met on IRC in a chatroom that i frequent called #21+chatzone on the 13th August 1998. I dont remember what we were talking about in the chatroom, but he ended up sending me his picture. At that time i was busy chattin to a friend i hadnt seen online for a while. I hadnt replied to Error404 (Craig), so he private messaged me and asked me "Just what did my pic do to you? You ok in there?" I am assuming he thought his pic scared me and i just couldnt bring myself to reply to him to tell him so. However, that was not the case. As soon as i saw his picture i, well i cant say i fell in love with him, but he took my breath away.

I love blue eyes so that is what I immediately fell for, but also online, he had a great sense of humour which a guy must have if we are to get along.

Afer that first meeting I would meet him online every night. He works nightshift, so to be able to see him i would get on the internet around midnight and wait for him then chat til he decided to go to bed or i fell asleep, which happened to be a common occurance. Just ask anyone in #21+chatzone.

From the time we first met, it never crossed my mind that we would end up together. We were 650kms away from each other which made it a bit harder. I met him just over one month from the time we first spoke to each other. I was going on a 2 week holiday up to Brisbane, Queensland and then to Sydney. I thought since Canberra was on our way back to Melbourne it wouldnt hurt to stop in and visit him. I went to Canberra to see him as a friend, it just so happened that chemistry or something took its course and we decided to date each other, even though we were a state away from each other.

It was hard living a state away from each other but we found it to be the best thing. We had a chance to develop a relationship and put trust in one another. And as the saying goes "Absence makes the heart grow fonder". It is true, because as the days passed i fell more and more in love with Craig.

Then early January 1999, his mother and sister went down to Melbourne for a little holiday, that was the first time i had met them. To say the least, we got on like a house on fire and still do. One day before they were due to head back to Canberra i said "I want to go back with you and see Craig". So that night we left and I went up to Canberra to surprise Craig. Cos it was yet to be a few more months before we were to see each other again and i just couldnt handle that, I had to see him sooner. I stayed in Canberra for a few days, then went back to Melbourne. Things just werent going right in Melbourne, so after having a talk with his family they said i could come and stay with them. And here I am. Craig and I are together. No tears anymore because we have to leave each other and we couldnt be happier.

It feels like my love for Craig gets stronger and stronger every day, i guess that is because he makes it so easy to love him. He is so caring and giving. I have never found a guy like that before and never want to lose the SNAG (Sensative New Age Guy) that i have. He is just irreplaceable.

Well it is 1 1/2 years that we have been together and still going strong. We now have a place of own are enjoying the privacy. Not a lot more to update. We arent married or engaged and we definately dont have any kids. Well that is the story about Craig and I so far. As time goes on i will update this page so i can share my happiness with you and to tell you that IRC relationships can work if you want them to. It just takes a lot of willpower to be able to go and visit each other and then have to leave each other because you live in different states. Some say long distance relationships dont work, but they can if the both of you are willing to work around the negatives.

Spotty
